CREDI Presented the FARMER Project at the EACEA Event in Sarajevo

On 7 October 2026, Amela Kurta, Research Analyst at the Center for Development Evaluation and Social Science Research (CREDI), participated in an event organised by the European Education and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA) at the International University of Sarajevo (IUS). The event was held as part of EACEA‘s mission to Bosnia and Herzegovina on 7–8 October 2026, bringing together representatives of projects supported under the Erasmus+ Capacity Building in Vocational Education and Training (CB-VET) action.
The event, organised by EACEA‘s Unit A2 – Skills and Innovation, gathered project partners from Bosnia and Herzegovina involved in initiatives selected under the 2024 and 2025 calls for proposals. It provided an opportunity to exchange experiences, discuss project implementation, share achievements and challenges, and strengthen cooperation between project beneficiaries and EACEA representatives.
Representing the FARMER project, Amela Kurta presented the project’s objectives, ongoing activities and initial implementation experiences, highlighting its contribution to modernising vocational education and training in the agricultural and agri-food sectors across the Western Balkans.
The presentation focused on FARMER’s approach to strengthening the relevance and quality of agricultural VET through the development of modern curricula, closer cooperation between vocational schools and labour market actors, and the integration of skills needed to respond to the digital and green transformation of agriculture. Particular attention was given to the importance of equipping students and teachers with practical knowledge and competencies that reflect technological developments and the changing needs of the agricultural sector.
The event also provided an opportunity to reflect on the experiences gained during the initial stages of project implementation and exchange perspectives with other CB-VET initiatives. Discussions highlighted the importance of regional cooperation, knowledge exchange and sustainable partnerships in improving the quality and responsiveness of vocational education and training.
For CREDI, participation in this event represented an important opportunity to showcase the FARMER project’s contribution to skills development and VET modernisation, while strengthening connections with other Erasmus+ project partners and relevant stakeholders in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Through its involvement in FARMER, CREDI continues to support the development of evidence-based, labour market-oriented vocational education and training, contributing to a more innovative, inclusive and sustainable agricultural sector in the Western Balkans.
